چکیده

HIP 41378 f is a temperate $9.2\pm0.1 R_{\oplus}$ planet with period of 542.08 days and an extremely low density $0.09\pm0.02$ g cm$^{-3}$. It transits the bright star (V=8.93), making it exciting target for atmospheric characterization including transmission spectroscopy. was monitored photometrically between dates 2019 November 19 28. We detected transit NGTS, just third ever this planet, which confirms orbital period. This also first ground-based detection f. Additional photometry obtained used to constrain time transit. The measured occur 1.50 hours earlier than predicted. use analytic timing variation (TTV) model show observed TTV can be explained by interactions e Using our model, we predict epochs future f, derived centres T$_{C,4} = 2459355.087^{+0.031}_{-0.022}$ (May 2021) T$_{C,5} 2459897.078^{+0.114}_{-0.060}$ (Nov 2022).

RISE: a fast-readout imager for exoplanet transit timing

By the precise timing of the low amplitude (0.005 0.02 magnitude) transits of exoplanets around their parent star it should be possible to infer the presence of other planetary bodies in the system down to Earth-like masses. We describe the design and construction of RISE, a fast-readout frame transfer camera for the Liverpool Telescope designed to carry out this experiment. The results of our ...

Exoplanet Transit Parallax

The timing and duration of exoplanet transits has a dependency on observer position due to parallax. In the case of an Earth-bound observer with a 2 AU baseline the dependency is typically small and slightly beyond the limits of current timing precision capabilities. However, it can become an important systematic effect in high-precision repeated transit measurements for long period systems due...

Transit spectrophotometry of the exoplanet HD 189733b

Context. We present a new primary transit observation of the hot-jupiter HD 189733b, obtained at 3.6 μm with the Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) onboard the Spitzer Space Telescope. Previous measurements at 3.6 microns suffered from strong systematics, and conclusions could hardly be obtained with confidence on the water detection by comparison of the 3.6 and 5.8 microns observations. Aims. We aim...

Telescope search for the transit of the Earth - mass exoplanet

Results from exoplanet surveys indicate that small planets (super-Earth size and below) are abundant in our Galaxy. However, little is known about their interiors and atmospheres. There is therefore a need to find small planets transiting bright stars, which would enable a detailed characterization of this population of objects. We present the results of a search for the transit of the Earth-mas...

Global variation in the long-term seasonal changes observed in ionospheric F region data

8 Long-term variability has previously been observed in the relative magnitude of annual and 9 semi-annual variations in the critical frequency (related to the peak electron concentration) of 10 the ionospheric F2 layer (foF2). In this paper we investigate the global patterns in such 11 variability by calculating the time varying power ratio of semi-annual to annual components 12 seen in ionosp...
